Want Amanita? Be My Guest – But Don’t Impede Psilocybin

A back up of a reply to a comment, a mobile back up. I composed this pretty long posting in a scary two-line microscopic little editing window, which is a big risk of losing data.

I include Amanita images and I consider Muscimol same as an extinct strain of ergot: a sheer possibility, nothing but a question mark, a complete unknown.

Do you believe that Mystery Plant X was the main visionary plant?

I can’t say any meaningful statements about a completely unknown chemical about which the more we hear the clearer it becomes that it is unclear what the effects of this thing are

🍄 seems like 15 different effects all jumbled together.

it’s just a wildcard ; could be anything.

Amanita can produce any experiencing, any cognitive state.

So, pretty useless for building a theory on. Too vague.

I could construct an elaborate qualifier like to the extent that amanita produces loose cognitive association, without producing or requiring other, distracting, competing experiences – or to the extent that amanita is as high quality of a targeted cognitive loosener as Psilocybin, then we can treat Amanita the same as Psilocybin.

which one is the benchmark point of reference upon which is a solid rock that we can build a theory on as a specific point of reference for its experiential effects is psilocybin.

Then the question becomes: how efficient is amanita compared to the benchmark standard rock-solid point of reference, which is psilocybin?

Do not make amanita the point of reference benchmark, like most scholars try to do.

That role is reserved for psilocybin, which is completely determinate, completely known, and even used in today’s oh-so sophisticated clinics – tell me why don’t they use amanita, which is already legal?

but anyway, amanita doesn’t need any defense or help; it can do just fine. It’s already way over-supported;

we’ve got everybody except for Thomas Hatsis pushing and pushing and supporting and emphasizing Amanita at every possible opportunity, so 🍄 does not need my help, and it is a noxious weed that is actually shutting out psilocybin.

In practice, 🍄 is functioning to displace and shut out Psilocybin, which is the good stuff that people actually want.

Nobody wants 🍄 for the clinics.

Amanita is already legal; if you want it, then go ahead and order it by the truckload. 🍄 doesn’t need any help.

Functionally now, the way things stand, Amanita is the problem, not the solution.

🍄 is serving as a substitute, a decoy, a low-value weed, that no one wants to ingest, to shut out the good stuff.
