Abstract
This set of medieval art images uses {branching-message mushroom trees}, {handedness}, and {non-branching} motifs to describe by analogy how the mind changes in the loose cognitive state from psilocybin.
The Egodeath theory, the Theory of Psychedelic Eternalism, or the Theory of Psychedelic Cybernetic Eternalism includes the Mytheme theory, which explains {branching-message mushroom trees}, {handedness}, and {non-branching} motifs.
{branching} and {handedness} Motifs
In Medieval art, branching-message mushroom trees use added branches and cut branches to diagrammatically represent the difference between the two mental world models: the initial, temporary, perishable, transient branching model and egoic steersman ({king steering in tree}) vs. the subsequent non-branching, mature, durable, altered-state compatible model: {snake frozen in rock}.
Mushroom trees don’t simply depict mushrooms. Mushroom trees depict the non-branching experiential mental worldmodel that results from mushrooms. That’s why artists added branches to mushrooms (along with cut branches). Identifying this meaning of mushroom trees answers Erwin Panofsky’s 2nd letter, regarding “at least traces of ramification”, in [Brown 2019].
YI and YO Tree Morphology
YI tree morphology: A tree or a tree pair that has YI morphology means branching on left, non-branching on right. A given element of a tree can be both branching and non-branching, because whether a point on a tree is branching or not is relative to a specific scope of analysis within the image.
Recursive/fractal YI morphology analysis: Repeated-scale pattern of assigning relatively branching (bad) and non-branching (good). Internal micro-branching within a branch (Eustace window). A morphology analysis must sweep up and down, left and right, with independent analysis in each scope.
YO tree morphology: The cap or crown is a non-branching zone, and almost never contains branching. The cap sits on top of one or more stems, so it enables moving upward from a non-branching trunk or stem, to multiple branches, to returning to a single non-branching cap.
YO tree morphology: The cap or crown is considered non-branching, and almost never contains branching. The cap sits on top of one (non-branching) stem or multiple (branching) stems. The cap, as a single terminator of a branch, enables moving upward from a non-branching trunk or stem at the bottom of the branch, to optionally splitting into multiple branches and yet returning to a single, non-branching cap zone.
The crown can be a leaf, egg, mushroom cap, or triangle, and can be held up by a single stem or multiple stems. The crown can contain a grid of leaves or caps (“omphalos pattern” per [Lash 2008]), and those inner caps can include dangling fruit or raised, branching arms.
Equivalence of implementations: A branch that terminates in a single crown, of any shape, is equivalent to a cut branch. A YI tree pair is equivalent to a YI tree.

So, [8:11 a.m. March 19, 2023] his left (bad) hand is positively gesturing at the I (good) of tree 4, to be read in local scope as good from our POV; THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE PROPERLY COMPREHENDED THE YI THEORY IN THIS IMAGE.
- YI analysis stacks vertically or horizontally and applies at local scope; this means that the rightmost tree [12:42 am p.m. March 19, 2023]’s upper level reads as branching (bad) on left, and non-branching (good) on right. At tree-pair level, the rightmost tree is “bad” (attached to his left hand; it’s his left tree = branching). But within local scope of isolated rightmost tree, the lower cap veering to our right is “good” and the other two, higher crowns form a Y, which is “bad” b/c branching. But again, in the scope of the upper part of that tree, the left crown with 2 black lines is left and therefore “bad” and branching, and the right crown is “good” and “non-branching”. [wow I’m surprised, I applied now my recent jump in sophistion of YI morphology theory, i thought there was nothing to say about the right tree except “it has a bunch of branching, in contrast to tree 3.” Internal YI morphology…. ie, variable scope of analysis, FRACTAL QUALITY repeated-scale pattern of assigning relatively branching (bad) and non-branching (good). Exerting Possibilism-Premised Control Causes Loss of Control, which Produces the Eternalism Model
Psilocybin switches the mental world model of control and possibilities from possibilism to eternalism; from possibility branching to eternity non-branching. Asserting the possibilism mental worldmodel when in the loose cognitive state causes control instability and loss of control, and produces the eternalism mental worldmodel.
Norbert Wiener [1948] drew attention to Maxwell’s paper “On Governors” [1868]. Maxwell’s is the first paper on control theory. Maxwell is the father of control theory. Maxwell’s paper “On Governors” is the origin of stability analysis. [Kang 2016]
The unscientific, folk knowledge of “surrender to the experience” and “accept your lack of control” (Janikian 2019, Houot 2019) is a crude, unformed way of partly reconciling with the eternalism experiential mode, but it doesn’t succeed at getting the treasure of mental model transformation, and comprehending what’s going on. We’re left with “ineffability” and vague sense of a degree of regeneration, but it’s incomplete, unfinished, and unfulfilling, while also dangerous, high turbulence, and traumatizing — not very healing.
There are efforts to truly understand the real cause and resolution of bad trips (Johnstad 2021, “resisting ego dissolution”; Houot 2019: “mystical surrenderism instead of shamans’ technology of control”). The highest, most profound cause of bad trips is that the mind is designed to, when exposed to loose cognition, transform from possibilism to eternalism, in which the model of control and world transforms out from under you.
The more you exert (and and observe and test) possibilism-premised control, the more you go unstable and lose effective, viable control. “Control harder” (in the usual way) causes loss of control [Watts 1960].

So are you those on the outside, who hold “Bible = Prohibition, a gate that is pointlessly permanently closed”?
Or are you among those on the inside , who hold “Bible = Psilocybin, gate = passable”?
The angel-guarded, loss of control {fire guarded} gate, {blade sword} keeps out the unworthy, non-elect, who are confused, who misread Genesis 2-3 as rank, vulgar Prohibition and who advocate that incomplete misreading that calls God a liar for saying “You will die when you eat the Psilocybin.”
Phases of Mental Model Transformation
The foundation for identifying the referent of myth is the basic model of the trajectory of mental model transformation across the two states of consciousness. This basic model is the point of reference to map mythemes and motifs to.
The mind works in four phases of development to the mature form that’s suitable to go in and out of the psilocybin loose cognitive state.
Phase 1. Ordinary state (tight cognition & possibilism experiencing); the possibilism mental worldmodel.
Possibilism-thinking. Ordinary state of consciousness: tight cognition gives the possibilism experiential mode, which produces possibilism-thinking.; the “possibilism” mental worldmodel.
Phase 2. Ordinary state (tight cognition & possibilism experiencing), the eternalism mental worldmodel.
Teaching eternalism-thinking. The tight cognitive state ordinary state of consciousness: education during the tight cognitive state to learn the Theory of Psychedelic Eternalism, including the mental model transformation process; learn eternalism-thinking ; the eternalism mental worldmodel. This instruction is the lesser mysteries; candidate training.
Instruction to prepare for the turbulence of making the structural transformation to shift weight from left to right foot; to transfer reliance for personal control from possibilism-thinking to eternalism-thinking in the heat of the actual loose cognitive state.
Phase 3. Altered state (loose cognition & eternalism experiencing), the eternalism mental worldmodel.
The loose cognitive state brings the eternalism experiential mode, which produces eternalism-thinking, and builds on the preparatory education. The greater mysteries.
Phase 4. Ordinary state (tight cognition & possibilism experiencing), the qualified possibilism mental worldmodel, along with the eternalism mental worldmodel.
The completed initiate has qualified possibilism-thinking along with eternalism-thinking. The qualified possibilism mental worldmodel. Tight cognition (tightcog) gives the possibilism experiential mode. The mind has been {perfected}, {regenerated}, {cleansed}, and {reborn}: the mental model is reconfigured to be equipped to enter the altered state; the psilocybin loose cognitive association binding state (loosecog).

Amanita Is the Billboard for Psilocybin
The simplest explanatory theory: Amanita imagery in religious art (or texts) means ingesting Psilocybin, the same as in contemporary culture.
The Theory of Psychedelic Eternalism, or the Theory of Psilocybin Eternalism in particular, replaces the Amanita paradigm and the Amanita Primacy Fallacy by an explanatory framework that is useful, successful, relevant, and effective.
Switch from “Amanita, Christianity, Surface Form, Low Esotericism” to “Psilocybe, Greek + Christian, Cognitive Effects, High Esotericism”.

God asserts that when you ingest the fruit, you die. The snake asserts that when you ingest the fruit, you don’t die, but gain wisdom. Avoid the literalist reading, which must be wrong, because it claims that God asserts a falsehood.
To repeal Prohibition, switch from literalist reading to an esoteric analogy reading of all terms, such as: “naked” (vulnerable to loss of control), “fruit”, “tree”, “knowledge of good and bad” [Ziony Zevit 2013] and “eyes opened” (meta-perception to watch mental functioning of control-agency).
“Because you have eaten the fruit, the snake will bite your heel.”
On psilocybin, the block universe worldline, pre-existing, is perceptible, forcing thoughts into the mind, destroys the presumed foundation for personal control: a fatal snakebite, for egoic possibilism-thinking.
Literalist entheogen scholarship who leap to wallow in a self-defeating literalist out of context reading-into the Genesis 2-3 a 20th a C drug prohibition (for the strategic logic of righteous self-defeatism), must ignore God’s fallacious statement and ignore the OTHER garden gate bracketing the very end of the Bible where we are permitted through the gate to the tree of life.
God who entheogen scholars emphatically and falsely assert is a drug prohibitionist, permits coming through the gate to the tree of life into the city exactly isomorphic with the garden of Eden.
You cannot discuss the angel flaming sword gate in the walled garden of Eden preventing the permitted tree of life (as entheogen scholars always make sure to do), without also discussing its mirror, the walled city gate and angel conditionally allowed through the gate into God’s presence to eat of the tree of life, if garments (mental world model) are washed clean (of possibility branching, left-foot-standing).
To prevent Adam from coming back into the garden to eat from the tree which God permitted eating from in Gen 2:16 (tree of life/immortality), God placed a gate-guard, angel with flaming sword, to perpetually eternally prevent man from ever, ever eat from tree of life

Similarly, entheogen scholars are the anti-esoteric sealers of the gate to the fruit of the tree of life.
They use their exoteric reading which they eagerly enjoy applying, to weld shut the gate, against Rev 22’s opening of the gate.
Drug prohibitionist entheogen scholars’ favorite strategy for self-defeat, is to assert exoteric reading into Genesis 2-3.

Entheogen Scholars Always Conceal, Never Reveal, and they Seal the Gate Permanently
It’s as lopsided as talking about “conceal” without also talking about “reveal”. Entheogen scholars only care about concealing, never revealing — a half story.
You cannot talk about your drug prohibition you project onto Gen 2-3 at the very start start of the Bible where we are sent wrong way through the gate guarded by the angel with fire-sword, and snake bites heel when your ingest Psilcobyin, and because because you eat thefruit of the tree of knowledge of good and bad, …
without at the same time talking about Revelation 22 at the very end of the Bible, where we are told to come back through the gate back to God and back to the tree of life.
Stop telling a half-story of drug prohibition, the story of the entheogen scholars, the Prohibitionist Narrative always asserted by entheogen scholars.
Repeal of psilocybin prohibition, or continued prohibition, is in the hands of entheogen scholars: get your priorities straight:
Either continue the defeatism and literalist incoherent, incomplete reading of the Bible, perpetuating Prohibition and moral self-elevation by asserting God is a rank drug prohibitionist (this is only strategic toward perpetuating Prohibition),
or, take a winning attitude, win on every front, including theology leveraging what the Bible says, in the right, cleansed, coherent, esoteric reading.
Either God is a liar (Genesis 2:17: you will certainly die when you eat the fruit), or, you failed to rightly, coherently read Genesis 2-3 together with Revelation 22 which completes it, and we are brought back through the gate with the angel to eat from the tree of life if our garments are washed clean.

Let go of gleeful leaping to a Sunday School level of reading into the Bible 20th Century drug prohibitionism, and instead, take the correct, coherent mode of reading religious esoteric texts esoterically.
Or, stay addicted to rank, low, moralistic, exoteric reading, where you would have God literally prohibit Psilocybin, setting up a gate that is a wall and lets no one through, and you would have God pointedly assert that you literally die when you ingest Psilocybin — which is manifestly false.
At the point, the ones stand blocking the gate, they never go into and won’t let anyone else pass through, is the entheogen scholars, who like McKenna 1994 simply DECLARE there is no, and there must be no, Psilocybin in our own religion.
“Do not look for Psilocybin in Christianity; it is not there and we must not permit it to be there.
And so if you were to find any psilocybin in Christianity, you must hasten to prop up our narrative commitment, neutralize the findings of psilocybin in Christianity by framing-away the psilocybin; neutralize and discount psilocybin by labelling mushrooms, as Ruck enjoys and gets high by doing, as “heretical, alien, outside, deviant, not real Christianity, because everyone knows Christianity lacks psilocybin.”
Typical entheogen scholarship move. Perfectly optimized to perpetuate Prohibition. What the F is your objective, entheogen scholars? What kind of “strategy” is this?
We don’t need outside prohibitionists, because Prohibitionism thinking is baked right into the DNA of exoteric entheogen scholarship.
No one is more addicted to perpetual defeat and drug prohibition than entheogen scholars.
Never trust an entheogen scholar.
Prohibition of Psilocybin Is the Fault of Entheogen Scholars’ Self-Defeatism, and So Repeal of Entheogen Scholars’ Prohibitionism Is Also in Their Power, if They Get Their Priorities and Objectives Straight
The continuation or repeal of Psilocybin Prohibition, depends on you: whether you take a mature, esoteric, coherent and complete reading of religious texts, or, an immature, exoteric, incoherent and incomplete reading of religious texts.
Entheogen scholars have the power to repeal prohibition: make the #1 strategic objective the repeal of Psilocybin prohibition, by revealing that the traditional esoteric eucharist through which we are regenerated and taught Logos is psilocybin.

Mushroom Hems Mean Mushrooms: Multiple Mushroom Hems vs. Naturalistic Hems
Important for all Golden black-arrow mushroom hems: black-arrow mushroom hems contrasted against free-form red cloth folds. This proves that throughout Golden Psalter, the black-arrow mushroom hem shape means mushrooms and the artist rejected the naturalistic option. Multiple black-arrow mushroom hems are contrasted against multiple rounded naturalistic hems.
Any Erwin Panofsky-like claim that mushroom hems are meaningless, accidental, and rigidly dictated to the artists by meaningless distortion and random degradation of prototypes, is firmly shut out by the above figures’ signalling by the artists that they are in command of the shapes. [Brown 2019]
