It is not just that Wasson/ Allegro/ Ruck (& Rush) picked the wrong mushroom; it is that they are based in the ordinary state.

Wasson and Allegro and Ruck are doing fake pseudo-psychedelic, pseudo-entheogens scholarship, that is all infantile, childish, stunted, limited to the physical shape of the Amanita.
