Analysis: The “Moderate Entheogen Theory” Actually Is the “Secret Amanita Heretical Sect” Paradigm, a Prohibition-Excusing Ideology

The “Moderate Entheogen Theory of Religion” turned out to be, specifically, the Secret Amanita Sect paradigm, which inherently is fully invested in perpetual prohibition of psilocybin.

Such entheogen scholars have NEVER done ANYTHING toward full repeal of Psilocybin prohibition. Why not? Because they are fully invested in perpetual defeat and perpetual justification of Drug Prohibition.

Amanita-obsessed entheogen scholars are the guilty parties, committed to self-defeating, collaborationist (with Prohibition), who positively revel in their crybaby impotent moral stance of superiority, wedded to commitment to perpetual defeat.

Entheogen scholars use a parasitical move: causing and justifying Prohibition as sociologically inherent, in order to elevate oneself morally and tell & sell a superficial, popular, titillating story narrative of cartoon-level “good underdogs vs. bad dominant mainstream”, immature, childish story.

I Disavow “Entheogen” Scholarship, and Repudiate Their Word ‘Entheogen’ and ‘Mushroom’

In my theory construction, I cannot open the door for a trojan-horse, intensely problematic, wildcard word “entheogen” and its raft of sorry, defeatist, Prohibition-product presuppositions.

Same with their ruined word ‘mushroom’ when used ambiguously, without qualification.

The word ‘entheogen‘ is nothing but a trojan horse for Prohibition justification.

Amanita Is the Smiling Face of Perpetual Prohibition of Psilocybin 🍄☺️ 🚨⛓

Amanita Is the Smiling Face of Perpetual Drug Prohibition 🍄☺️ 🚨⛓ – note: the wildcard umbrella word ‘drugs’ is now being added to the Forbidden Word List.

Don’t write ‘entheogens’, ‘psychedelics’, ‘drugs’, or ‘mushrooms’; write ‘psilocybin’ or ‘amanita’.

The Extreme Wildcard, Confusing Property of the Word ‘Mushroom’

Correction/clarification re: my post on Cyberdisciple page “Against the Assumption of Suppression of Psychedelics in Pre-Modernity” —

I wrote: “The only possible way to write the word ‘mushrooms’ in the way that you mean it and prevent it from being misread as the word ‘Amanita’ is that you absolutely must specify “psilocybin mushrooms” and possibly also specify amanita.”

Clarification:

If you write ‘mushroom’, you’ll be read as having written ‘Amanita’, or ‘Psilocybin’, or “Amanita and Psilocybin”, in an uncontrollable, random, wildcard fashion.

Yesterday, April 22, 2023 I read the writings of entheogen scholars, and was surprised at how much the authors contradict and confuse themselves and each other, around this extremely shifting, extremely wildcard, treacherous term ‘mushroom’.

The maximum confusion in psychedelics scholarship is around the wildcard property of the word ‘mushroom’, covering two entirely different drug types:

Psilocybin is a classic psychedelic, Amanita is a kind of deliriant more comparable to Scopolamine than Psilocybin.

It is entirely foolish and problematic to use one word, ‘mushroom’, to cover two wholly different types of psychoactive plants.

The word ‘mushroom’ has been misused as much as possible to maximize obfuscation.

Jan Irvin in the 2008 book The Holy Mushroom p. 152 paints a false picture and he really does argue fallaciously, misleadingly, and deceptively to give the gullible reader the misimpression that Griffiths’ psilocybin 2006 research proves that Amanita provides mystical experience.

Irvin obscures his fallacious argumentation by the stratagem of hiding in the ambiguity of the wording ‘mushroom’, ‘mushrooms’, “the mushroom”, and “the holy mushroom”.

This is dirty Wasson-type rhetoric just like Irvin calls out in Wasson’s writing: convoluted, prevaricating, obfuscating, deliberately confusing rhetoric use.

I will use the lone word ‘mushrooms’ such as in a title, but I use the word ‘mushroom’ unambiguously, with lots of specifying Psilocybin or Amanita, knowing that ‘mushroom’ is an extremely confusing wildcard word.

Principle to Follow: Treat Amanita and Psilocybin as Two Entirely Different Types of Psychoactive Plants, Avoid any Attempt to Group Them Together

John Allegro

John Allegro is the main asserter & fabricator of the Secrecy premise.

See Cyberdisciple re: Allegro as Anthropology theorist, not a historian of psychedelics, or mushrooms in Christian art, or the class of mushroom trees which Irvin attempts to credit to him because of the lone case, our Fly-Agaric fresco we are possessed and obsessed by (as Panofsky points out).

Search Cyberdisciple site for “Allegro”:
https://cyberdisciple.wordpress.com/?s=allegro

Panofsky rightly bets that no one gives a damn to assert that the hundreds (thousands) of mushroom trees mean mushrooms. He was right, until Samorini finally woke up in 1997/1998 and actually gave a sh*t to follow Panofsky’s 1952 lead/announcement that there are HUNDREDS OF MUSHROOM TREES which ought to have caused an outbreak of celebration by all mycologists, because of multiplying our Fly-Agaric fresco by a thousandfold.

But, as Panofsky expected, no one gave a sh*t about the hundreds of mushroom trees — until FINALLY, Samorini in 1997 showed some sign of intelligence and life and reacted to Panofsky’s 1952 lead/announcement, 45 years late.

Why the hell did it take entheogen scholars 45 years to follow Panofsky’s lead about hundreds of mushroom trees? Because they are posers, Anthropologists in drag pretending to study psychedelic chemicals and their effects.

Panofsky’s mushroom trees fail to be our Fly-Agaric fresco, so we DGAF about them.

Gordon Wasson

“The book of Revelation is written like by one bemushroomed” (see quote in my Plaincourault article at Egodeath.com): http://egodeath.com/WassonEdenTree.htm

The exact quote of Wasson:

“I would not be understood as contending that only these substances [indole family] (wherever found in nature) bring about visions and ecstasies.

“Clearly some poets and prophets and many mystics and ascetics seem to have enjoyed ecstatic visions that answer the requirements of the ancient mysteries and that duplicate the mushroom agapé [but see Irvin’s 2022 expose book, God’s Flesh] of Mexico.

“I do not suggest that St. John of Patmos ate the mushrooms in order to write the Book of the Revelations.

“Yet the succession of images in his vision, so clearly seen and yet such a phantasmagoria, means for me that he was in the same state as one bemushroomed.

[Wasson fails to discuss access granted to Tree of Life in Rev22 “Eden Restored” at end of Bible.]

“Nor do I suggest for a moment that William Blake knew the mushroom when he wrote his telling account of the clarity of “vision”.”

Carl Ruck

Carl Amanita Promoter Ruck — The word ‘psychedelics’ has too much baggage, so here’s our word ‘entheogens’ which has no baggage (except the little detail that the word ‘entheogens’:

  • Has Perpetual Prohibition built into it.
  • Treats psychedelics in a physical, non-psychedelic, non-experiential way, and
  • Heavily uses proxy argumentation (producing Bad Theorizing).
  • Promotes Primitivism: “The changing shape of Amanita caused awe and dread in simple-minded folk.”
  • Comes from the circa 1900 Anthropology Theory dept. of Whig History (underestimating previous people to prop up Wonderful, Evolved Us), and is essentially bad Sociology theory.

Samorini wrote: https://egodeaththeory.wordpress.com/mushroom-trees-in-christian-art-samorini/#Figure-20

“Thus, we have discovered a precise typological differentiation among mushroom-trees in Christian art which corresponds with the variation in naturally occurring psychoactive mushrooms (cf. Fig. 20).”

Jan Irvin

Jan Irvin 2008 called for deleting the Secret part from the paradigm. Irvin should have written, to be consistent then, “the Eucharist is none other than the holy mushroom, Amanita muscaria”, but that’s Irvin’s narrative impressionistic implied position.

Irvin 2008 permits Judith Brown to open his book, Foreward, sentence 1: “Christians should accept hallucinogenic drugs”. She flip-flops spastically between primitivism and Transcendent Knowledge.

Judith Brown opens the book by totally establishing as firmly as possible “the Holy mushroom, Amanita”, completely disrespecting and shutting out Psilocybin. Irvin permits her to do this, just like Irvin permits Ruck to write in 2009 apx of SMC, Dancing man cap is red (it’s actually blue).

Irvin 2008 explicitly states at least 3 times, “I’m not going to bother showing the Psilocybin passages that Allegro cited written by Heim & Wasson and by Hofmann, they are Psilocybin species and therefore NOT IMPORTANT TO OUR STUDY/ OUR DISCUSSION.”

Then Irvin turns around on p. 107 and contradicts himself, writing now, “The main mushroom types IN DISCUSSION are Amanita first, and then by the way insofar as we can mangle Dancing Man [forcing its blue cap to be red], these lesser-looking [Hatsis’ telling phrase], Psilocybin mushrooms in my gallery of art images (after we first place our Amanita specimen photos and our Fly-Agaric fresco).”

Jan Irvin 2022 — denies that in the Americas, Psilocybin is used religiously and is called God’s Flesh and is used as the Eucharist.

Jan Irvin half broke out of Amanita Madness, after conversing with me in 2006, in his 2008 book The Holy Mushroom (massively problematic title!) that tries, in vain, to add corrective epicycles to save Allegro’s Perpetual Amanita Suppression paradigm: Irvin attempts to delete the “suppression fringe heretical” presupposition while retaining full-on Amanita Primacy fallacy, treating disrespectfully Psilocybin merely to prop up Amanita.

The actual relationship is reverse: Amanita is nothing but a minor psychoactive mushroom that has always been used as a symbol of Psilocybin.

Amanita should be used as nothing but a subservient prop to give all credit to Psilocybin.

Religious mythology is depiction by analogy of the Psilocybin effect, which is: transformation of the mental worldmodel from possibilism to eternalism regarding the model of control-in-world, driven by re-stabilizing control in the Psilocybin-induced loose cognitive state.

Posting: Tear Down the Prohibition Wall Built by the Entheogen Scholars

I posted at https://cyberdisciple.wordpress.com/2020/12/15/against-the-assumption-of-suppression-of-psychedelics-in-pre-modernity-outlining-research-questions/?unapproved=2618&moderation-hash=f853c4c28bb1922387f3b27d351a304c#comment-2618 on April 23, 2023:

John Lash and Terence McKenna and John Allegro attacked Christianity, declaring war on mainstream religion, and strove to construct a barrier wall between mushrooms and real Christianity.

Their attacks on the mainstream, claiming that the mainstream is required to prohibit “the mushroom”, demands an effective, strong, vigorous repudiation of their shared paradigm.

John Lash literally writes that we cannot allow the mainstream religions to have psilocybin.

This is all part of scholarly work, explaining what happened and how to get out of the self-defeating dead end.

It is time to tear down the wall that the entheogen scholars worked hard to construct to separate “the mushroom” from the mainstream.

An overly charitable accounting is guaranteed to be ineffective.

This necessary, vigorous scholarship correction works hand-in-hand with repeal of psilocybin prohibition that’s occurring in psychedelic therapy.

Why We Must NOT “Protect” Amanita, but Must Now Destroy and Attack Amanita with Extreme Prejudice and Full Firepower: Amanita Is the Enemy and the Weakness Point of Attack and Victory

Amanita muscaria is the most famous entheogen in the world that nobody uses. It is the supreme symbol of all entheogenic religion: of secret cults and societies of initiates and whispered lost knowledge.”

Dale Pendell, Start of Amanita chapter in Pharmacognosis

Amanita can jump off a cliff, and the Entheogen Prohibition-Apologetics Scholars along with it.

It’s not bad that we’re attacking Amanita.

Rather, the good news is, we have found the line of attack: AMANITA IS THE WEAK POINT, THEREFORE AIM ALL ATTACK AT AMANITA, TO REACH SUCCESS AND VICTORY.

Protecting Amanita is extremely a non-goal, to put it mildly.

Amanita ALREADY HAS everyone and their brother protecting it, while attacking and disrespecting the real deal, which is psilocybin.

Why is anyone worried and concerned about being mean to the big bully, Amanita?

🍄☺️ 🚨⛓

Amanita Is the Smiling Face of Perpetual Prohibition of Psilocybin 🍄☺️ 🚨⛓

Amanita is the problem (re: the way Amanita has been utilized as a deadly harmful ideology since 1967 to excuse perpetual Prohibition of psilocybin, through weird, confused & confusing, improper proxy argumentation).

I must re-upload my chastising lecture from a year ago, my speech, Abandon the Wh*re Amanita and Commit Fully and Exclusively to Wife Psilocybin.

We’ve had 2023-1967 = 56 years of having Amanita shoved down our throats by fanatical, fantasy-based tale-spinners of “heretical fringe sects” (according to Ruck’s storytelling), packaged together with a sorry tale of “perpetual Prohibition is just the way it’s got to be.”

“Isn’t it terrible that Prohibition is inherent and permanent? 😢” <– the evil song of the “entheogen” scholars (bunk, Prohibition-compliant garbage Anthropology in drag, dressed up as psychedelics research)

And now we’re supposed to treat Amanita with kid gloves and protect it?

Amanita doesn’t need any help from anyone, it’s been promoted to death like crazy by everyone!

AMANITA IS NOT EVEN PROHIBITED, FFS!

Why is anybody handwringing about poor oppressed heretical deviant amanita fertility cult sects?

Amanita isn’t prohibited! Psilocybin IS prohibited.

And NO, just because there are noises toward Decrim of Psilocybin by Big Pharma Psychedelic Industrial complex (DON’T HOLD YOUR BREATH), doesn’t change the fact:

Amanita is not Prohibited. Psilocybin IS Prohibited.

Psilocybin Prohibition is not going to repeal itself.

We must ACTIVELY attack Amanita with full firepower to turn the mere Decrim noises into actuality of FULL REPEAL OF PSILOCYBIN PROHIBITION.

Lame and hated-by-everyone “psychedelic therapy” is light years away from full repeal of Psilocybin Prohibition.

Status Quo since 1967 to present (2023; 56 years), the exact period of pushing Amanita Madness along with apologetics for Prohibition, as a package deal from Hell.

Not a Coincidence: The Amanita Paradigm of Entheogen Scholarship Started at EXACTLY the Same Time as Psilocybin Prohibition

Amanita Counterculture Paradigm = Apologetics for Psilocybin Prohibition
