Yet Irvin writes: what Heim/ Wasson & Hoffmann wrote is not important for our discussion, because Psilocybin, not an Amanita species.”

A disappointing surprise for Irvin: Paragraph 1 “the fungus”, “the mushroom”, is about Psilocybe, not Amanita!

If Psilocybin is “not important to our discussion/study”, then remove your Psilocybin art from your gallery (like Brown removed your dud non-Amanita tapestry from his gallery in 2016 book & 2019 article, j/k), and remove your citation of Griffiths’ 2006 study finding that psilocybin gives mystical experience.

This THM chapter’s opening page 31 fails to give any justification for making Amanita the scope of “all entheogens” and exclude Psilocybin from “all entheogens” as “not important for our discussion”.

WHY is “our discussion” limited to Amanita, despite “all entheogens” being stated as the scope TWICE on intro p. 31 (“Allegro’s Citations and References”)? p. 31:

“commentary on all of Allegro’s endnotes and citations in SMC with regard to entheogens.”

“entheogenic and entheobotanical studies. They … represent all the specific references to other scholars in the field of entheobotany and entheogens listed in SMC.”

So, Irvin’s book THM page 31 is self-contradictory, contradicts Allegro writing “most important, Psilocybe mexicana; see R. Heim and Wasson … see Hofmann … p. 169″

We aren’t allowed by Irvin to see the passages Allegro is referring to by “most important, Psilocybe mexicana”. Irvin writes about each of those two passages cited by Allegro: “not important to our discussion because it refers to Psilocybe, and not an Amanita species.” — Irvin in THM p. 49, two times.

Then on THM p. 107, Irvin flip and contradicts/ silently switches his scope again, without acknowledging or defending doing so: “The main mushroom types in discussion are Amanita & Psilocybe.” SHELL GAME!

Given that Allegro writes “most important”, you HAVE to give some explicit justification for WHY the passage is “not important to our discussion/study”.

What the hell is the scope of “our discussion/study”, and why? Why is it both “all entheogens” (asserted twice, p. 31) and also restricted to Amanita only?

The Word ‘mushrooms’ Is Used to Maximize Bad Theory and Shell-Game Wildcard Deceiving Rhetoric and Self-Contradiction

It just now struck me (April 22) how much bad theory and confusion around the word “mushrooms”, which maximizes Bad Theory. Today I learned to perceive this huge ambiguity problem.

Wow, amazing, all kinds of problems are associated with the word “mushrooms”.

Stereo room mics have compressors, handheld mono mic ev 635a does in first segment only, i think.

Left room mic AT2020 way too bright, today April 29 I got it under control.
