Periodic Build-up of Impurity and Pollution

Psilocybin is incredibly humbling to advanced psychonauts who built up daily habits of impurity and pollution, bringing a mundane stance of agency-power into the sacred, set-apart state of loose cognition.

The mind must emphatically switch modes, wash hands, wash the left foot, and wash the right foot, lest you bring in pollution and impure thinking, from mundane daily load-carrying as a burdened control-agent, into the throne room of God.

The kind of thinking that we practice every day, brings down kings in utter humiliation when they try to apply that same basis of control-in-world, in the loose cognition state.

Priority: Identify How Eadwine Thought

Wouter Hanegraaff’s “radical empiricism” method of studying the history of Western esotericism puts top emphasis on accurately representing and understanding what Eadwine meant; ie what does a given text mean to its author?

The first order of business in interpreting Eadwine’s images in the Great Canterbury Psalter is not “do you (as an enlightened Modernist) agree with his theology”, but rather, what did Eadwine mean?

How does Eadwine interpret his images?

My interpretation should accurately explain what Eadwine meant, and what the Medieval art genre of branching-message mushroom trees meant to its artists.

This involves 4 distinct major motifs: {mushrooms}, {branching}, {handedness}, and {stability} motifs.

The Lethargy Problem: Preparation Is Prayer and Drinks

Psilocybin sometimes produces lethargy, vs. the relative speediness of ergot.

Preparation for a session is prayer, purification, hands-washing, foot washing, & repudiation of a kind of initiative because instead, the god or snake brings the sage and sacrament together; the sage doesn’t own that initiative.

Prayer, repudiation of initiative/ steering, and cleansing of the pollution of hubris, is not the only required preparation.

Someone who is subject to intense psilocybin lethargy could make it a prep-prerequisite to prepare an ample supply of drinks: fruit juice, taurine, tea, iced tea, cold coffee, coffee pods, drinkable yogurt, kefir, nutrition drinks.

Accurate Description of Eadwine’s Message

I have been reading about psilocybin so I can check, improve, & align my explanatory model of mental model transformation dynamics, as reported & described by Eadwine, checking this explanation with the actual experienced effects.

Is Eadwine’s explanation of cube dynamics correct?

Does Eadwine’s explanation of the end-state match my model in the branching-message mushroom trees article?

{crown} motif

{affirmed by God} motif

Eadwine’s {bed}, falling down, & lying down motifs partly are used to describe the intense lethargy from psilocybin.

The lethargy from some such plants (woodrose; LSA) can be stronger than the cognitive experiential effects (shifting vision; psychotic mental colors).

The result is natural, organic breath-focus & meditation. Psilocybin sometimes produces meditation thought-watching, and a focus on breathing.

Reconciling with insane color psychotic vulnerability down THAT path, intense nearby presence of vulnerability/ threatened = enlightened; THE meaning of {fear of God}.

The familiar, intimate bride-chamber: right over there, in that direction of thinking is, being overpowered and enlightened about the shape of control-in-world.

At first, resistance to the threat encroaching from the alien god (king Pentheus vs. Dionysus andro-gyne; Hermes-Aphrodite), and then the female thought-receiver gives in and comprehends the higher power source of control-thoughts (male thought-inserter), producing a new conception of controller-in-world.

This awareness of threat and vulnerability gives birth to the adult form: a demigod immortal; non-dying, no longer subject to resisting and battling one’s own thinking.

enlightenment = near fear; thorough, psychotically nonchalant familiarity with being an inch away from panic terror seizure.

The library site is down often: Great Canterbury Psalter. I snagged per-row hi-res captures yesterday, July 5, 2023.

Where I have been working, in this site: the Great Canterbury Psalter gallery Commentary page:

top of page — I added per-row crops for the first 8 pages; 8 pages x 4 rows/page = 32 1-row crops.

Categorizing Motifs into the 4 Main Motifs

The past couple weeks, I discovered many mushroom motifs, and big 4 motif categories bolstering my interpretation — a mapping of motifs in this art genre (branching-message mushroom trees in Medieval art) to my direct explanatory model of how the mind transforms by loose cognition, per the Theory of Psychedelic Eternalism.

Eadwine’s entire set of images in Great Canterbury Psalter must be treated as a coherent systemic whole.

Same as the Golden Munich Psalter.

Reliable interpretation requires considering the entire genre of medieval art: branching-message mushroom trees; ie the loose, selective, creative, freewheeling, & inventive combination of 4 main broad motifs: {mushrooms}, {branching}, {handedness}, and {stability} motifs.

In Great Canterbury Psalter by studying the entire set of Eadwine images, I found:

tables with caps & stems (mushroom)

donkey carrying a bag of blue circles (mushroom)

Liberty Cap jars (mushroom)

finger shapes (branching)

roof toppers (mushroom)

crowns/ kings

threats from all directions (stability)

I have also been working in the bottom of that Canterbury Commentary page.

arranging an outline of various specific motifs into 4 specialized groups: {mushrooms}, {branching}, {handedness}, and {stability} – those are the broad, master motifs.

That is not the familiar exercise grouping motifs into the Theory’s 4 quadrants (analogical, psychedelic, eternalism, cybernetics).

The Psilocybin Therapy paradigm is a dead end: that approach always amounts to “process your retrieved personal traumas.” But that’s NOT what transcendent fear terror is about.

Transcendent terror is due to the inherent nature of the immature mental worldmodel of {control agent steering in branching world}.

{king steering in tree}, fighting desperately against the inside threat, which is the mind’s uncontrollable source of control thoughts.

The higher, uncontrollable controller (puppetmaster) and {snake frozen in rock}, and overpowering deja vu, conspire from multiple directions to demand you willingly give away control, it seems.

It’s a really strange experience, wishing to relax and enjoy but feeling that you’d have to crazily let go of control.

From a certain perspective, you let go of control by, rather, comprehending the actual, 2-level nature of control-in-world:

you as a local autonomous control agent, are replaced by a corrected, more accurate model of control and possibility-steering, that claims far less power, that divides your power such that power of steering sits on a level above the local control agent.

The mind is taught to be constantly, intensely aware of profound dependence & vulnerability in every act and mental construct always, every day.

From the God-level point of view, “giving away” control from oneself as an autonomous monolithic agent to a higher level control-source was always a done deal forever.

The local, subjective control agent never actually was a monolithic, autonomous initiator of acts of will.

In loose cognition, mature thinking (the mature experiential mode) is trained and taught stoic, calm non-reactivity to the intense threat posed by its own source of thinking/ willing.

Become psychotically nonchalant about your nearby control mayhem potential — that’s just how things are, matter-of-fact accommodate this crazy revelation.

In the Great Canterbury Psalter, Eadwine communicates this relationship, attitude, & stance toward your own source of thoughts.

The psychedelic podcasts report high-dose humbling, especially of the most experienced people.

Psychedelic & Consciousness Research

The Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic & Consciousness Research emphasizes:

higher dose = more challenging.

Punk wedding-band musician Frederick Barrett is taking over that Center as Director, for Roland Griffiths.

Barrett contributed to the Stacean MEQ-POS psychedelic effects questionnaire, based on the wildly lopsided “mystical experiencing” model from Walter Stace 1960 and Wm James 1902.

To balance that lopsided instrument, Barrett also contributed to the CEQ-POS psychedelic effects questionnaire, which eliminated Anxious Dread (DED) effects by deleting them.

When you suffer psychedelic terror, we recommend that you REPRESS and SUPPRESS the shadow dragon monster, for the sake of safety, so that psychedelics research can continue.
