I reserved agreeing with the common statement that a little round thing in hand is probably a mushroom, but I agree, upon considering the tree of knowledge: the snake brings a little round thing often, and Eve hands to Adam a little round thing often. So it is really our best candidate; that a little round thing in the hand is reasonably a mushroom.

I forgot to mention that the tree is in the fire which is where he will go once he eats the mushroom in his hand.
