Ruck Hoffman Winkelman Articles

Someone oughtta look into Psilocybin mushrooms in ancient mystery religions.

M. Hoffman, editor for three decades, Ruck ๐Ÿ„ scholars committee & Entheos Journal of Spot the ๐Ÿ„, in his article/chapter Entheogens (Psychedelic Drugs) in Ancient Mystery Religions, 2015/2018

voice recording thats commentary on articles this evening – at idea devmt pg 13: https://egodeaththeory.wordpress.com/2022/03/09/idea-development-page-13/#Egodeath-Mystery-Show-Episode-156

Ep156b Errata: 35:00 – I say twice “i saw online the first Entheos article, Effluents of Deity“, i meant Conjuring Eden (link below)

The present webpage/ posting summarizes, afterwards, the points discussed/ developed in the voice recordings. Text summary should be able to replace listening.

i developed interesting and more effective critiques of the aggressive “secret suppressed Amanita alchemy paradigm” that’s dogmatically pushed simultaneously with Ruck school presenting (silently) psilocybin art.

Totally bizarre situation: I rail against M Hoffman for writing in his 2015/2018 toxicology article “no one has looked into psilocybin in ancient mystery cults, but I argue that they should.” eg Ep156b 40:00

WHAT HAVE YOU AND RUCK BEEN DOING FOR 47 YEARS SINCE 1975?

file in the irvin Brain database under “sh!t that doesnt add up

why doesnt the entheos ruck school acknowledge the psilocybin mushroom in Mithras’ leg, but twists this tauroctony into serving as Amanita evidence instead??

something seems oddly backwards in Ruck school’s extreme pushing of The Mushroom ๐Ÿ„ at the expense of never acknowledging Psilocybin in their text narrative

Sharply differentiate between an entheogen scholar’s art evidence base vs their narrative about the 99.99%-100% absence of mushroom knowledge within the normal Church.

I proved John Rush = single plant ๐Ÿ„ fallacy narrative book blurb second edition, regardless of whether his art data base includes some % psilocybin. regardless of if he writes, one measly time, “plants & fungi” – in between his relentless hammering on, all the time, asserting “The Holy Mushroom ๐Ÿ„ Amanita“.

see my idea devmt pg 13 re: 2nd edition Feb 2022 John Rush my blue vs pink highlighting of key words of his book blurb.

I just found two days ago that Irvin’s book Astrotheology and Shamanism is explicitly to broaden Allegro’s theory.

Why Hatsis mistakes Brown & Cybermonk as striving to follow and broaden Allegro’s theory: bc Hatsis is only aware of the Irvin/Rush framework aka “the Holy Mushroom ๐Ÿ„ theory”.

Hatsis needs to address Ruck school pushing a framework that’s almost the same as Irvin Rush.

Hatsis needs to realize that Samorini/ Cybermonk/ Brown are against the Rush & Ruck “suppressed ๐Ÿ„” school(s).

The Ruck school’s narrative never mentions Psilocybin. It’s always Amanita, re Christianity. When you show them Psilocybin art, they write “mushroom” or stay silent. See Conjuring Eden article, it never mentions Psilocybin, even for Canterbury Psalter images.

Its not Hatsis’ fault for confusion re The Holy Mushroom ๐Ÿ„ Theory; the Ruck school and the Allegro/ Irvin/ Rush school all have Amanita madness, seeing Amanita everywhere and seeing Psilocybin nowhere.

Brown actually sees more mushrooms than the Irvin/Rush narrowing, mushroom-excluding framework allows. Brown is a more ardent advocate than them. Irvin excludes Psilocybin and excludes The Mushroom ๐Ÿ„ from the Church.

Irvin/Rush’s art evidence database contradicts their scorched-earth narrative.

Ruck at least covers this by his story that The Mushroom ๐Ÿ„ was secretly encoded in alchemical encryption by 1-2 people in the eccelesiastical elite; The Holy Mushroom ๐Ÿ„ was present within the Church, Ruck says: 1 or 2 elites, once, used it, one time. “Dont be so stingy”, Ruck tells Rush.

The Holy Mushroom ๐Ÿ„ was only MOSTLY suppressed and forgotten within the Church, Ruck corrects Rush. This is the stingy, mushroom-minimizing “Moderate” (~= Minimal) entheogen theory of religion.

The LAME and self-defeating field of entheogen scholarship amounts to a pathetic argument over whether The Mushroom ๐Ÿ„ was 99.99% absent from within the Church, per Ruck; or 100% absent, per Rush.

THESE ARE THE ๐Ÿ’ฉ”OPTIONS” that are presented to us by the Ruck Hoffman Heinrich school & the Allegro Irvin Rush school. F that!! says my 2002 Maximal entheogen theory of religion & Brown 2016/2019.

“Which shade of Moderate (aka Minimal) narrative /theory of presence of mushrooms in Christianity do you hold?” asks the God-forsaken field of entheogen scholarship.

the field of entheogen scholarship is wildly lopsided and EVERYONE (as i noted and rebelled agaunst in 2002) shares the field’s master paradigm of:

The entire field of entheogen scholarship = the assumption of suppression / Forgot / secret/ absence / 99.99-100% suppression of msh inside the Church,

yet in 2001 Conjuring Eden article in Entheos joural of psychedelic spirituality, I noticed that their own art evidence base – and all world religious mythology art – tells the opposite story, contradicting their “mushrooms (๐Ÿ„) were Forgotten & Suppressed within the Church” narrative.

The Ruck school and the Allegro school force all mushrooms to be Amanita as The Mushroom ๐Ÿ„, in a strong narrative that effectively shuts out Psilocybin.

Ruck allows The Mushroom (๐Ÿ„) in the eccelesiastical elite only.

Rush’s textual narrative per his 2022 book 2nd edition blurb is that only in sects before the Church, only Amanita, and no mushrooms within the Church.

Conclusions section: Brown 2019

Brown’s 2019 article, following Samorini 1998 & Egodeath.com 2007 Cybermonk, counter-asserts in the Conclusions section, “mushrooms were not suppressed”, and explicitly includes Psilocybin, on par with Amanita.

Brown 2019: https://www.academia.edu/40312824/Entheogens_in_Christian_art_Wasson_Allegro_and_the_Psychedelic_Gospels

… Wassonโ€™s views stymied research on entheogens in Christianity for decades after the publication of Soma in 1968,

a new generation of 21st century researchers has documented growing evidence of psychedelic A. muscaria and a variety of species of psilocybin-containing mushrooms in Christian art, consistent with Samoriniโ€™s typology of โ€œmushroom-trees.โ€

The Psychedelic Gospels [2016 book] contributes to these entheogenic studies:

(a) by providing original photographs and analysis of psychoactive mushroom images in several churches and cathedrals in Europe and the Middle East;

(b) by arguing that based on the presence of these images in the high holy places of Christianity,

these psychedelic traditions were not suppressed by the Church, but were rather maintained for

the secret instruction of initiates

and possibly for

the education of the illiterate masses; and

(c) by proposing a psychedelic gospels theory, which hypothesizes that

these images represent an alternative history of Christianity, suggesting that

early and medieval Christians experienced healing, divinity, and immortality by ingesting sacred psychoactive sacraments.” [Psilocybin; also Amanita]

Heading

… Just like the article Conjuring Eden points out a little, Allegro’s jarring, actually self-contradictory including of Plaincourault fresco.

Their textual narrative is disproved by their art evidence base that’s used to supposedly support the infantile childish crybaby narrative that “the Church suppressed & forgot The Mushroom ๐Ÿ„”.

I look at religious church mythology art and I see tons of loosecog mushroom altered-state description heavy reflection everywhere, through the Renaissance era.

… until Modernity trashcanned Esotericism, and THEN finally I agree that mushrooms (Psilocybin, also Amanita) were forgotten – due to/ discarded by the Modern movement’s rationalism posture, not suppressed by the Church. As Brown 2019 article conclusion perceives, “NOT SUPPRESSED!”

Against the Suppression Assumption narrative that entheogen scholarship pushes, the art evidence shows that mushrooms (Psilocybin and also amanita) were densely throughout/within the medieval mainstream Church.

Cyberdisciple.wordpress.com webpage: “Against the assumption of suppression of psychedelics in pre-modernity”

M Hoffman says we have proved that The Mushroom ๐Ÿ„ is the engine of mystery religions & mixed wine. Just as surely as kykeon has been identified as an extinct strain of ergot!

Ruck says the fact that Amanita doesnt work is proof that its use is appealingly secret, requiring elaborate processing, and the ancients fixed Amanita’s failure to work by adding Hatsis’ random toxic non-targeted witches brew of random substances eg special ivy

Conjuring Eden shows this Liberty Caps cap 3 times and never says psilocybin! ๐Ÿคฏ wtff?! yet he says “Amanita” every other paragraph, as often as possible.

Ruck doesn’t mention what type of mushrooms, he stays silent. Hey Ruck school, is this The Mushroom ๐Ÿ„ like your narrative is always pushing? Why don’t you comment on what kind of mushrooms here? A Psilocybin cat got your tongue???

Ruck fails to try to identify the 3 Psilocybin plants in Psalter – God creates the sacred plants.

why “dogmatism” is a poor idea that made Brown make a major error. I speak at length on this. Egodeath Mystery Show Ep156a covers that.

i derived the orders that the Ruck school is subject to:

Never write “psilocybin” when discussing Europe or Meditteranean.

You may present psilocybin images in Greek or Christian art, but your text must always only say “the mushroom” or Amanita.

https://www.academia.edu/31550754/Hallucinogens_and_Entheogens – Winkelman and Hoffman ency entry in book Vocabulary for the Study of Religion – why do entheogen scholars permit & condone the word “hallucinogen”?

hallucinogen is a broken, false word. the more you use it, the more you spread confusion.

i have 3 hours of voice recordings from now; pm June 1 2022, to produce & upload as an episode of the Egodeath Mystery Show.

Ruck says msh in medieval church is 99.9 suppressed & forgotten

Irvin/Rush says msh in medieval church is 99.99 suppressed

Hatsis says 100% ;= 0 %. The early sects cults had no use of The Mushroom ๐Ÿ„

But their art evidence says 100%; self-contradicts their narrative, in the same way as Allegro does.

Irvin multiplies the self-contradiction of Allegro’s use of Plaincourault. Rush follows him.

“These 1000 msh art images throughout Christian history prove that only the pre-Church Christian sects knew & used The Mushroom ๐Ÿ„; the remembered forgotten “old tradition” was still present in 1300, proved by this art.”

the “Moderate” entheogen theory of religion is about as stingey as the “Minimal” theory.

Robert Graves says msh in medieval church is 99.99 suppressed.

only Samorini, Cybermonk, & Brown mention Psilocybin in medieval normal Church.

Allegro Irvin Rush & Rush show Psilocybin art but their text narrative is “Forgot & Suppressed & Absent is The Mushroom ๐Ÿ„”

  1. It’s a grave mistake to discredit the historical power of the Church, the greatest political matriarch of all time, by washing it away within the vague notion of ‘modernity trashcanning esotericism.’ If the Church valued the innate spirituality of humanity and its history of esotericism, instead of wanting control over the mass, the mushroom as the sacrament/the true Eucharist would not have disappeared.
