We see that in Hanegraaff’s June 30, 2022 book Hermetic Spirituality.

Hanegraaff is confused to the point of he tries to put eternalism before Rebirth, tries to put fate[stars] below rebirth[top of saturn] in the standard mystic cosmos model, against Science and against universal mystic tradition.

I have successfully now explained exactly why Hanegraaff makes the mistake that he does and why he feels forced to lower the fixed stars down below the top of Saturn level.

when you look at more anti-cosmos styled Mystery religion initiation like gnosticism and Hermetic Spirituality, you can get confused (they confuse things) because they put a negative value on the revelation of no-free-will instead of focusing on the positive, that you become enlightened, they instead by that late date focused on the negative: you become enlightened that you are a helpless puppet frozen into the prison of the block universe 👎👎

that is what is revealed in enlightenment, is no free will, puppethood, enslavement to Fate/ eternalism.

we get really confused when late antiquity puts the emphasis on the negative aspect of enlightenment

they present Transcendent Knowledge and they say this is bad, this is no free will, this is fate, this is enslavement in the block universe.

people resist block universe determinism and they look at the negative side, so now it becomes confusing.

in Mithraism, Helios is lower than Mithras, and you might get the impression that Helios equals delusion (we are so used to that binary thinking/ valuation!), when in fact, Helios equals basic main rebirth enlightenment about no-free-will/ eternalism.

You cannot possibly climb up to the third level, Mithras, (a thin, derived, as-if, artificial level = return to baseline state of tight cog binding in which is freewill-shaped experiencing; experiential mode) without embracing and approaching and striving to reach level two, which is Helios: the no-free-will revelation.

Hanegraaff tries to put no free will on the delusion side of the rebirth equation; he ends up demonizing and putting in the trashcan the main Revelation the main mental model transformation he puts in the garbage can

he sees that in late antiquity as opposed to early antiquity people emphasize the move from phase 2 to phase 3 , they emphasized the bad thing about what is revealed in the altered state, and they now focus their energy on bragging about “transcending Transcendent Knowledge”, transcending the bad aspect of what you discover in Transcendent Knowledge

they formulated a confusing idea of ultra Transcendent Knowledge which bragged about moving-

this higher God moves you out from no free will block universe fate and non-Branching, and we treat now all of that as negative bad delusion or something like delusion, something undesirable to avoid and hate and discard and cast off, and the God now rescues you from the undesirable aspect of what is in fact revealed to be the truth in the altered state.

This is a confusing flip of values, and Hanegraaff would be shocked that what is in fact revealed in the altered state is that we are imprisoned in no-free-will prison iron block rock king turned to stone helplessly per Erik Davis page 118 122 in book Led Zeppelin IV book re Stairway song.

No one claimed the psychedelic state reveals only positive aspects. The negative aspects of what is revealed must be accounted for,

The torments in Hermetic texts are a clue here, framed as “negative psychological traits to be exorcised”.

In late antiquity, they attach a minus sign to what is in fact the great revelation, the main revelation in the altered state, the revelation of block universe determinism, which is where the idea of {purifying the pollution} comes from, {purifying the impurity}.

To become right with God-mode thinking and become stable in the altered state, you have to affirm no-free-will; you have to affirm block-universe determinism.

from that late antiquity’s third phase point of view, looking back down on what is revealed in the altered state, now we’re going to put a negative sign on revealed no-free-will and lump Fate/ eternalism together with rank naive delusion of the non-initiated state.

The transformative Fate/ no-free-will revelation became lumped together with rank sheer ignorant delusion egoic thinking, when in fact, no-free-will is exactly what the altered state reveals, whether you like it or not.

even after you fabricate the poetic idea of making/fabricating, in wishful-thinking land, an additional higher transcendent level that’s above block universe determinism,

The ancients knew that it would be a lie to claim that the ego death and rebirth experience takes you from block universe determinism into ultra transcendent free will – that would be taking poetic license too far and really it would be a lie and a complete misrepresentation because they knew the fact is the ego death experience specifically takes you from naïve freewill into the revelation of block universe eternalism.

There’s only one ego death/ rebirth experience.

What happened in the end is that they mapped the idea of the rebirth onto the entire two-level jump to take you all the way from naïve free will to alleged figuratively speaking Transcendent brand of free will:

That framing is largely fanciful; this is largely poetic ambiguity:

the basic fact remains, against Hermetic spirituality and their demonization of fate, the true basic main overwhelming ego death & rebirth experience delivers you into puppet block universe determinism/ eternalism, enslavement to Fate, imprisoned, no free will, non-branching possibilities.

then after that, actually you have a minor little small step up when you return to the ordinary state, you return to as if Freewill thinking again, and so “the God has rescued you from his evil block universe”

the fact remains: Transcendent knowledge is primarily the revelation of block universe determinism!!

which is why Hanegraaff does that, even though he doesn’t understand why he is forced to tell scientific nonsense and go up against the universal convention of saying that the fixed stars are fate/ heimarmene that is revealed above/ after the level of rebirth.

we do not demonize eternalism, in Mithraism.

You need to put Fate/ eternalism on a pedestal, or you will never achieve enlightenment, and you will certainly never reach super transcendent enlightenment along the theme of “God rescues you from the problem of block universe determinism”.

You’ll never get to phase 3 by burning and destroying and deleting and avoiding phase 2 and hating it.

You have to desire and want phase 2, revelation of and compliance with eternalism.

To withstand the loose cog state, you have to desire and want fate, sacrifice to the block universe prison, puppthood.
