Groan, that old “punishable by death” canard that Ruck dramatically voices in his video DVD.  

WHY do people LOVE to emphasize in dramatic voice, “punishable by death!!”  👍 😲  ooh how exciting!  titillating!  its a SECRIT!!  🤐🤫🍄

That perspective is part of the problem, the blindness.  

Ruck fails to spot entheogens other than his monoplant, which is Secret Amanita. 

I couldn’t believe it when Ruck’s articles pointed out the red and white specks of paint in Mithras’ cape, while failing to say anything about the blue stemmed liberty cap in Mithras’ leg, or writing about Montecassino’s mushroom Eden tree on the left, without even mentioning the Mandrake tree with cut branches on the right. 

There are two versions of Montec. scene, one looks more like Mandrake vs. palm.

People mistakenly think Ruck writes about Amanita. 

Carl Ruck has never written anything about Amanita; you’re mistaking two different plants. 

Ruck in fact writes about a different plant, Secret Amanita, e.g. Secret Amanita Alchemy.

Thanks to Ruck, instead of having 0 mushrooms inside the genuine Christian church, he generously reveals that there were two guys, at certain points — 2 or 3 times — in Christian history. 

That’s as many as 6 instances, 6 times, someone infiltrated Real Christianity (which is, of course, non-drug) by the alien intrusion and innovation, of using Secret Amanita (aka The Mushroom) as if it were the Eucharist.

Ruck is operating from a hopelessly compromised, minimalist presupposition-set.  

With a “moderate” entheogen theory of religion so feeble and stingy as Ruck’s Secret Amanita Alien Exception Intrusion premise, who needs to bother defining a “minimal” position?  

Moderate, minimal, they are fluidly equivalent – compared to the Radical Maximal entheogen theory of religion.

It was great to see that Ruck’s recent discovery of the existence of Psilocybin mushrooms made it into the Oregon 109 Research Summary: History. 

That Summary’s only allowance of Psilocybin in Western history is from, ironically, Ruck, who never writes the word Psilocybin.  

Mark Hoffman’s 2015 article for Toxicology journal states someone oughta start trying to see if there was Psilocybin in Mystery Religions.  Buy yourself a mirror, evil M. Hoffman, director of entheogen scholarship publications.

I heard Ruck say that word (Psilocybe/bin) in a YouTube video, dispelling my certainty that Ruck is unaware of the existence of any other mushroom than Secret Amanita.

11-Factors did a poor job of advertising their Unpleasant high-levle category.

Studerus had poor placement of #54 in ANX, given that it fits into specific category well, Impaired Control and Cognition (ICC).

A psychedelic effects question item about anxiety that’s specific, not a general anxiety, goes in a specific category, not an OSC-based, “Anxiety” (ANX) typical professional Psychology construct.

Unpleasant = Advanced. Undeveloped by Studerus’ 11-Factor q’air. Ill-formed, careless. It has the goodness of Dittrich’s 21 Dread/Angst questions in the secret Unpleasant high-level category that not even Griffiths knows about.

oddly Studerus doesn’t say 5D, they say “OAV”.

So why does Griffiths, strangely, misrepresentatively, mix together “11-Factors” with 5D as if the 11 factors were defined in 5D or in terms of 5D.

The 11-Factors article was made using OAV, not 5D; OAV not 5D is in the title.

Why does Griiffiths re-represent 11-Factors as if it’s part of 5D, when the very title of Studerus is “OAV”. Confused, misleading.

ANX & ICC don’t come from 5D, Studerus presents them as OAV replacements. OAV factors are replaced by O+V= Pleasant, A = Unpleasant.

The scope of 11-Factors is the scope of OAV (same 66 items) – not with 5D-ASC, which has low-value dimensions added.

Everything about Studerus 2010 is in terms of OAV (11-Factors replaces OAV as categories), not 5D-ASC.

Why does Griffiths use a scope-mismatched, misrepresentative naming, “5D’s 11 Factors”?

The question is about specific fear of a specific thing (control loss) and therefore the question goes in the specific category/ factor Impaired Control and Cognition, not in the vague, generic Anxiety category/factor like they do in Figure S1 & S2 before they move it to become direct member of Unpleasant.

Studerus needs to redefine & comprehend ICC, and make item #54 the pillar, the main item that defines the ICC category.

This will make the cross-loading problem go away.

Roland Griffiths continues:

“Most of our research on psychedelics and the primary mystical experience have been completely secularized“

“We are not introducing specific religious beliefs. We generally assess mystical experiences in a single questionnaire [MEQ] among many other questionnaires.”

Charles Stang, historian of mysticism, says to Griffiths the un-mystical Mystical Experience Questionnaire (MEQ) doesn’t match the mystics’ historical archive of reports.

“We are evaluating as best we can the impact on how people think of their own religious traditions, how they think about their own ministry.

“I do not believe that the study design is biased about outcome.”

To pass the MEQ to get your experience designated as “a complete mystic experience” you must give the correct answers to 1/4 of the questions, about “Was your experience Ineffability?”

Per the Egodeath theory, which is analogical psychedelic eternalism, a complete mystic experience is transformation to learn to depend on eternalism-thinking, dependent control, dealing with your future control thoughts pre-existing.

For example, that would be, like in Eadwine’s image, redosing two bowls of Cubensis 10 weeks.

Griffiths is an absolutely dedicated advocate and cheerleader of meditation. Non-drug meditation is Griffiths’ god, his standard of truth.

It is simply a given for Griffiths that non-drug meditation is the gold standard of reference.

He also takes a conventional narrative-driven view on non-drug mysticism.

Mysticism and meditation are Griffiths’ New Age religion, and after this Dec 2016 vid, 4 years later, his partner Matthew Johnson said this brand of spirituality has gone unchecked too long, and Johnson repudiated his partner’s brand of spirituality, in the Dec. 2020 article Consciousness, Religion, and Gurus: Pitfalls of Psychedelic Medicine, against the new religion of Griffithsism.

The religion of Griffithism is hardly “psychedelic spirituality”, given the way Griffiths in inverted fashion makes his notion and assumption-set about non-drug mysticism and non-drug meditation his false standard by which to “justify” and “praise” Psilocybin in a way that’s an insult to Psilocybin.

Griffiths diminishes Psilocybin while acting as if he’s elevating it almost up to the lofty standard set by his fantasized non-drug mysticism and non-drug meditation as if those had any authenticity — as if Psilocybin weren’t the source and the measure of authenticity by which non-drug mysticism and non-drug meditation should be found to be fake and fraudulent, usurpers of the throne that rightfully is Psilocybin’s.

When Griffiths praises or defends Psilocybin, he attempts to make Meditation the foundation for authenticity of Psilocybin – getting their relationship upside down.

5:30 – Of 2019, Griffiths said “Your experience of that was beautiful, and harrowing, that’s the nature of these experiences.”

42:00 – Griffiths recounts resonance of Psilocybin and non-drug meditation and two experiments, with new meditators and experienced meditators, on Psilocybin. I skimmed and mentioned this paper but didn’t catch a citation of it.

“we showed the enduring changes in traits, which is difficult to find trait-level changes in people, we were able to show it, in psychological well-being and pro-social behavior; psilocybin potentiated that.

“In an unpublished study of long-term meditators, had no recent psychedelics experience, so they weren’t proponents of psychedelics,”

But see Wouter Hanegraaff’s remorse about his 1995 gullibility on this point. Griffiths is posturing and framing, here; this is compromised, pro-meditation, Psychedelics-distancing apologetics.

“They took to the psilocybin, and were able to navigate it much more readily (than new meditators) because of their understanding and experience with meditation, so the Psilocybin effects were less profound for them.

“I need to go back and look at that data.

“The Psilocybin for the long-term meditators were facilitated, they took to the psilocybin experience … with examining the nature of the mind.

“Across the board, most of them reported Psilocybin enlivened their meditation practice.“

THAT’S BECAUSE MEDITATION CAME FROM PSILOCYBIN.

“Psilocybin got them out of their rut of meditation practice, increased their interest in meditation. “

Yeah because now they’re doing authentic, actual meditation, instead of non-drug, ersatz, phony, pseudo-meditation.

“None of them would have said psychedelics is a replacement of meditation.”

Meditation is not a replacement for Psilocybin.

“Meditation provides the foundation for these [psychedelics] explorations.”

Psilocybin provides the foundation for meditation.

45:30 – “There’s all the difference in the world between an awakening experience and leading an awakened life, and thats what meditation is absolutely designed for is practice, for bringing that awareness moment to moment into daily life, and psychedelics are certainly less likely to accomplish that.“

Griffiths is “certainly” a BIASED propagandist advocate of the alleged benefits of sophisticated, structured meditation, as opposed to sophisticated, structured use of Psilocybin.

MEDITATION IS THEIR SUBSTITUTE RELIGION, even though culturally and historically, their meditation came from psilocybin.

These meditation advocates are intent on short-changing and selling short the Psychedelics that drives everything about meditation.

I’m “done” listening to this utterly conventional framing, the tired old Psilocybin-diminishing song and dance that Prohibition created.

We’ve been listening to this same bullshiite story since October 6, 1966.

“Most people can’t even get started with meditation, except for psychedelics.”

That’s because meditation came from psychedelics.

58:00 – finally Griffiths says something sane and reasoned. “Integrate psychedelics and meditation.” But he called meditation the “foundation”, he should say psychedelics are the foundation for meditation practice.

Griffiths: “I did a week-long meditation retreat and 3 days into the middle of it, did 10 mics of L, which is barely perceptible, that supercharged the retreat experience. Intensified; there’s nothing discontinuous from the straight-out meditation retreat experience.”

IDEA: Griffiths’ research partner Matthew Johnson has broken away from the Roland Griffiths “Meditation + Stace 1960 Mystical Experience” religion/paradigm/narrative.

Back in [year of “Validation of MEQ” article], was the final straw for Matthew Johnson, with the Buddha statue in the photos at end of that article.

Then in [year], Matthew Johnson wrote the article “Lose the Buddha statue”.

Carl Ruck doesn’t write about Amanita; Ruck writes about Secret Amanita within an 1880 Anthropology Theory paradigm, “wild vs. cultivated”.

Similarly, Griffiths doesn’t give us psychedelics.

Rather, Griffiths gives us psychedelics heavily framed within a heavy-handed deep devotional commitment to the religion of Meditation, propped up by 1960 view of perennial universal core of Christian Mysticism, buttressed by foundation: #1: INEFFABILITY. #2, 3, 4, also.

For Griffiths, psychedelics can assist the real, main thing & point of reference, which is MEDITATION + MYSTICISM.

The Griffiths framing-paradigm for psychedelics is:

MEDITATION = TRUTH = REAL WAY = PERENNIAL MYSTIC EXPERIENCING = INEFFABILITY.

– none of which is of any use to me, which is why I instead created the Egodeath theory in 1985.

Harris tried to persuade Richard Dawkins (on Harris’ podcast) and D Dennett to meditate, but they lack psychedelics experience, so therefore they had no interest in meditation.

“Dawkins meditated, but nothing happened,so he wasn’t interested. I know that if I gave him 100 mics L or 5 g msh or 25 mg psil (or more, comparable to 5 g) … there’s no possibility that nothing would happen, so Dawkins would be interested in meditation.”

Why not trashcan the inefficacious, fake, substitute meditation, and skip straight to the real deal instead, the source where meditation came from: psilocybin?

3:14:21 – “Meditation would be the center of gravity the rest of his/Dawkins’ life, if only he had the psychedelics experience to cause him to be finterested in meditation.”

A farce. Psychedelics, not meditation, would be the center of gravity.

Just like people THINK they are interested in Amanita, but are ACTUALLY interested in the Psilocybin that they are conflating Amanita with, here Harris is conflating –

Meditation is a proxy for Harris’ interest in psychedelics.

Harris assumes that other people will make the same proxy/conflation:

Psychedelics are interesting, therefore, get rid of them, and instead find Meditation interesting, as a substitution serving to replace (and prevent) psychedelics.

The Atman project: pursuing Ego Death & Transcendent Knowledge through methods (non-drug meditation) that are selected because they are known to & guaranteed to avoid and prevent Ego Death & Transcendent Knowledge.

3:15:30 – “Meditation meant absolutely nothing to me until my first dose ( MDMA). But the drug wears off, and now you have the dim memory of the experience.”

As if meditation gives, per the myth & claim, a permanent state that’s exactly like psilocybin, as the Meditation Hucksters try to imply (without going so far as false marketing explicit claim to that effect).

3:17:46 – “‘Once you have one of the experiences on psychedelics … you know that there’s a there there [ie religion is real]”

So why does this result (for Harris) in the dubious, unconvincing to Dawkins & Dennett, Harris’ roundabout conclusion “meditation is interesting“, rather than the sensible, rational, direct conclusion, “psychedelics are interesting“?

Harris is doing proxy substitution posturing. His affectation of interest in meditation is masking an actual interest in psychedelics.

Don’t direct, prime, shape, and filter the framing to construct the client’s experience. Remove New Age Buddha statues symbolism from the clinic room.

Instead, hand clients this 1960 Stace book Mysticism and Philosophy, in the form of the Mystical Experience Questionnaire (MEQ) from Walter Pahnke 1962.

The client’s experience will be graded based on their answers about Ineffability.

If client failed to conform to our Mystical Experiences features, re-route client to our Challenging Therefore Non-Mystical Experiences Questionnaire (CTNMEQ), where we will administer the needed Grief psychedelics-assisted psychotherapy.

Continue re-administering psychedelics sessions until client gives the correct answers in our Mystical Because Positive and Ineffable Experiences Questionnaire (MBPIEQ).

The measure of how complete your mystical experience from Psilocybin is, is the extent to which you report ineffability.

Episodes are too long. Define rolling episode numbering/divisions:

Pipeline: recording a nonstop series of recordings/ sessions. EACH 1.5 HOURS IS, BY DEFINITION, A NEW EPISODE/ A DISTINCT SHOW. A SHOW = 1.5 HOURS OF CONTENT.

Need flexible open rolling format, yet also need a firm container to support, nevertheless, “this is the start of a show… end of a show”. Support, not enforce, structure: a start & end even if a rolling pipeline nonstop show broadcast.

  1. I started reading Altered States and Intoxication in Ovid’s Metamorphoses by Jonas De Ruyck, and realize how spoiled I am now by the Egodeath Theory. The bar is set so high now by the Theory that none of those articles or Theses reach the height, the precision of focus into Entheogens and the altered state as the Egodeath Theory does.
