Unlike the crummy prejudiced mycologists, I actually INVESTIGATED cubensis distribution reports non-tropical, instead of ASSUMING and making sheer baseless prejudiced assertions “no cubensis in Europe”.
2003, mycologists were proved WRONG as Andy Letcher admitted in the book Shroom, in claiming “no psilocybin in Europe”.
Letcher moves the goalpost and says, ok there WAS psilocybin (specifically liberty caps, ONLY) in Europe, but there was no tradition of considering them as an altered state or religious altered state.
Letcher perpetuates the entrenched fallacy “no cubensis cow pastures outside tropical”. He needs to retract that fallacy, same as he retracts the fallacy “no presence of psilocybin mushrooms in Europe.”

20 grams dried cubensis is high dose like 500 mics ergot — 5 g is NOT high-dose; fraudulent McKenna is wrong; only rank newbies think 5g is high dose.
He falsely presented himself as a 5 g user for years after he stopped all use.
5g of dried cubensis is not noticeable to advanced user using it in an active way during directed activities; it is a disco dose.

The video’s title implies a broad therapeutic approach, but the video is actually only about depression, narrowly.
I’m allied with rejecters of this Therapeutic PARADIGM, which has a narrow purpose, framing, & potential – this reductionism gets rid of psychedelic experience, and denatures it – these studies cover newbies only, 1-3 first sessions, for depression therapy only, = “the science studies/ papers”.
The therapeutic depression scientific studies” is a big-sounding presentation, but delivers actually only a tiny narrow selective attempted application, to extract a little of the experiential potential of psilocybin but reject a lot of aspects — 18/21, per CEQ’s selection of only 3 of OAV’s 21 Angst/Dread (DED) 1994 questions.
“Science” has lost credibility, due to rampant fraud, irreproducible results, the replication crisis, and highjacking of legitimation by politics 🦎.

The Egodeath theory 
What I hear you saying Michael is that to treat depression experienced in the ordinary world with psilocybin, it is mandatory to experience the shift from surrender to transform through the mystic altered state in order to help with depression in the ordinary world. (Since depression can be linked to egoic belief of control)
It might be wrong to call the present day effort of treating depression with psilocybin an intentionally fraudulent act if those conducting the therapies have no awareness of the mental transformation that you’ve identified, experienced and expressed.
It’s at that precise point thst always makes me feel sad because how can lives get help if the therapist isn’t aware of what is necessary for helping.
You are right about psilocybin getting mishandled in that situation, and that is sad too
