A couple quiet evening recordings about Irvin’s book The Holy Mushroom: verdict: Irvin does NOT assert Hatsis’ fabrication, “the Secret Christian Amanita Cult theory”.

Irvin had just been in heavy discussion with me in 2006, before this 2008 book — not about the Egodeath theory, but about assessing Wasson and Allegro.

Irvin’s intro is short and good and tight and he subtle OVERCREDITS ALLEGRO mis-portraying Allegro as if Allegro’s concern was entheogen scholarship.

Per Cyberdisciple, Allegro is NOT an entheogen scholar, and this from Irvin is a misrepresentation, just as Lash and Ruck and Ott try to glorify Wasson, Irvin over-glorifies Allegro trying to make it appear that Allegro asserted medieval mushrooms, which he barely, and inconsistently did, only.

Irvin exaggerates Allegro’s embrace of entheogen scholarship in the current sense eg like Samorini 1998.

Samo 1998 is extremely more full-fledged than Allegro 1970. Samo is the first AFAIK to truly propose inverting Panofsky re: pilzbaum, mushroom trees.

Did Allegro comment on Panofsky re: mushroom trees? Not just the Plainc fresco, but the whole category that Panofsky reported in 1952, communicated by Wasson in 1968 book Soma? And that Wasson told Ramsbottom (head mycologist) in 1953.

WHY DIDN’T RAMSBOTTOM AND GRAVES ASK PANOFSKY WHY HE HAS NO CITATIONS,

GIVEN THAT ART HISTORIANS CONFESS THAT THEY ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH MUSHROOM TREES, AND CALL THEM “MUSHROOM TREES”, AND YET, THE FACT IS, THEY HAVE NEVER WRITTEN ANYTHING ABOUT MUSHROOM TREES.

THIS COMBINATION OF FACTS AMOUNTS TO PROOF IN 1952 AND 1968, OF A COVER-UP OPERATION, CORRUPTION OF THE ART HISTORY PROFESSION, including training “competent” art students: “Do not write about the Mushroom Trees problem taboo that we have.“

Irvin accuses Wasson of “forcing” (end of book) entheogen scholars to submit to Panosky’s corrupt cover-up info blackout. I call BS against Irvin here:

Irvin, What Is Wrong with Entheogen scholars such that not one of them until samo 1997 and me in 2006, demanded “CITATION FKKING NEEDED!!” in response to Panofsky’s claim? Entheogen scholars have no excuse.

They FAILED to demand Citations, WTF??!! I was glad to see Irvin criticize STINGY RESTRICTIONIST RUCK. He tackles each finding to frame it in a jail of “heretical, rare” — Ruck says there was 2 guys at any point in time, no more. Irvin overstates Allegro AS IF Panofsky mentioned “hundreds of Pilzbaum” and then Allegro took up that assertion / coverage, when in fact, Allegro didn’t say any more than 1 SENTENCE; about Plaincourault only; and only in some copies of his book!

Only Samorini in 1997/1998 FINALLY went against Panofsky re: the “hundreds” (ie thousands) of msh trees.

Samorini rightly gets the credit, not Allegro. Def’ly NOT WASSON, as Ruck & Ott try to revise history.
